A heartfelt message to our community
Dear Maple Loyalty Community,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Maple Loyalty will be deactivating our service. While this is difficult news to share, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us on this journey.

To our 10 amazing local businesses that believed in our vision and partnered with us. Thank you for opening your doors and hearts to this experiment in community-driven rewards. Your enthusiasm and commitment to supporting local commerce inspired us every single day.
To Our Incredible Users
To our 118 incredible users who signed up during our beta program since early June, you were the heartbeat of Maple Loyalty. Every scan, every redemption, and every piece of feedback you shared helped us learn and grow. You showed us that there’s a real desire in Nanaimo to support local businesses in meaningful ways.
What We Learned
Throughout this journey, we’ve learned so much about our community, about loyalty programs, and about the power of shopping local. We’ve seen connections form, watched businesses grow, and witnessed the genuine care that Nanaimo residents have for their local shops. These lessons and memories will stay with us.
We wish we could keep this going. We truly do. The relationships we’ve built and the enthusiasm you’ve all shown have meant the world to us. Unfortunately, sometimes the path forward isn’t as clear as we’d hoped, and we need to make difficult decisions.
Not Goodbye, But See You Later
But here’s the thing: this is not a goodbye, but a see you later, Nanaimo. The spirit of what we tried to build together, supporting local, building community, and celebrating the businesses that make our city special. Whether through future endeavors or simply in the way we continue to shop and support our neighbors, the impact of this community effort will continue.
